Charles Spencer Chaplin 1889 - 1977 was an English comic actor in the era of silent film. He also produced, directed and composed the music for his films. 
 
His most famous character ‘The Tramp’ is known for wearing a tight jacket, baggy trousers, big shoes, small black hat and having a moustache.
