Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci 1452 – 1519 was an Italian Renaissance painter and sculptor. His interests also extended to many other areas including architecture, mathematics and science, invention and engineering, geology, botany and astronomy, cartography (map making) and history. 
He is considered a true genius whose curiosity and thirst for knowledge knew no bounds.
